Radiant flow
This one came out of that feeling of trying to reach light from underneath everything.
Layer over layer. Thought over thought. Colour moving through places that had become too still.
Painting lets me travel when my body cannot.
It gives me somewhere else to go for a while.
The lines kept growing through the piece like roots or currents, and eventually something at the centre began to open. The koi arrived afterwards, carrying small flashes of life through it.
I think this is a kind of rising.
Not loudly. Not all at once.
Just the quiet refusal to stay buried.
