Serene spiral

Sometimes the world becomes very small.
One room. One body. One difficult day after another.

So I paint movement.

These koi feel like thoughts travelling through darkness, carrying their own small light with them. The circles kept building slowly across the page, almost like breath or soundwaves, until the whole thing began to feel calm instead of trapped.

Painting does that for me sometimes.
It turns confinement into somewhere I can still wander.

This piece feels quiet to me.
Not empty. Not lonely.

Just still alive beneath the surface.
